Mimarinin ve fotograf\u0131n birle\u015fimi olarak tan\u0131mlanabilecek eserleri, sessiz, al\u0131\u015f\u0131lmad\u0131k, ferah mekanlarda, (a)simetri ve belirgin renk kodlar\u0131 ile kendini zarif\u00e7e ifade eden modellere odaklan\u0131yor. Kendine \u00f6zgu\u0308 rafine bak\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 yans\u0131tt\u0131\u011f\u0131 fotograflarla izleyicilerine meydan okuyor. While studying architecture, his interest in photography became more pronounced. <\/p>\n

His work is a fusion of architecture and photography with a strong focus on (a)symmetry, distinctive colour codes and subtly expressive models in silently quirky, spacious settings. His vision considers the connection between urban serenity and the meaning of identity within and, alongside said structures, draws inspiration from his architectural background, as well as his innermost understanding of people\u2019s perceptions and illusions. The result is an inimitable body of work that surfs the fine lines between visual confrontations and playful imagery. <\/p>\n

Can Da\u011farslan\u0131 continues his work in both architecture and photography. His work have been exhibited in di\u2000erent countries and in printed publications. <\/p>\n

The artist realised his first personal exhibition in 2016 in Bologna under the curatorship of Leica, with his \u201cIdentities\u201d series. His second personal exhibition, \u201dSerenity\u201d, was held in 2017 in Seoul, under the curatorship of Ader Error. In 2018, he participated as a speaker at the closing event of the present Bauhaus Museum building, as part of the 100th Anniversary of Bauhaus in Berlin. There, he shared with the audience \u201cSerenity\u201d series, a project he had prepared at the Dessau-Bauhaus school. <\/p>\n

He took part in many exhibits such as \u201cA Living Room\u201d, at the IGNANT Gallery in Berlin in 2014, \u201cMamut Art Project\u201d in Istanbul and the \u201cMixt Photography Show\u201d in Seattle in 2015, also \u201cThe Many Faces of Fashion\u201d, realised by Vogue in Milan in 2016, \u201cLabs New Artist\u201d presented at the Red Hook Labs in New York, and \u201c212 Photography Festival\u201d in Istanbul in 2018. <\/p>\n

ASLI \u00c7ELIKEL (1988) lives and works in Istanbul.<\/p>\n

She graduated from Marmara University Department of Photography in 2014.<\/p>\n

When she was a child, she had di\u2000iculty understanding texts. In search of an easy way to overcome this situation she started to encode texts through pictures and symbols, and thus she was introduced to the power of the visual world. In her works, she goes after the details that she comes across in everyday life, and either makes them part of a story or creates a new story out of them.<\/p>\n

Her works have been exhibited at Taksim Sanat, Istanbul (2023); Mamut Art Project, Istanbul (2022); Peep Art Space, Istanbul (2022); Unexpected, online exhibition (2020); Izole Project, online exhibition (2020); Fotoistanbul (2017); Artist (2014) and Pera Museum, Istanbul (2014) among many others.<\/p>\n

She continues her career as a director and besides commercials she has directed several music videos. She is currently working on a feature-length documentary about the concept of belonging, in which she is the narrator.<\/p>\n

She is a member of RFYP (Reklam Filmi Y\u00f6netmenleri Platformu-Platform for Advertising Film Directors), Sinema Televizyon Sendikas\u0131 (Cinema Television Union) and an a\u2000iliate of PLATFORM by GAPO.<\/p>\n
